Salt Water bowfishing is a thrilling twist on an old sport  Be it cruising the Flats of the Gulf in search of a Southern Stingray or Searching the backwaters of a   Louisiana  Tidal Marsh for Sheepshead, it is a new and fantastic adventure!  Salt Water brings with it the challenge of new species and the enormous area of the coastline.  We at Carp Killer  Connection  have had multiple  experiences hunting the fish of saline solutions.  The following photographs are all taken recently in the pursuit of Ocean dwelling quarry.

Stingrays offer a magnificent battle when struck!  One of the hardest fighting fish ever known to bowfishermen.  Captain Rich Tudor is one of the best guides in   the  Florida Keys.  (See Left Photo)  This 60 Pound Ray was taken on a guided trip with Captain Rich off the coast of Marathon Key Florida.

Every State differs in their laws on what can be harvested.  In Louisiana, Redfish have a five per day per person limit.  Well these fish are  fantastic   eating and a challenge to shoot as well!  Anna (on right) was very proud of this Redfish.  She was quoted later as saying:  "It was not the biggest fish harvested this evening  but it certainly tastes  the  best!"

This stingray on the right is exhibiting the caramel color that can be found on some rays.  They can vary from black to this creamy color.  In this photo it is    obvious that the "Arctic Camo" blended in with the Florida Mangroves to fool this  50 pound Gulf Stingray.

Besides Redfish, the Sheepshead Porgy makes for a fine eating fish in the Gulf Waters of Louisiana.  Matt and Company shot a whole "mess" of  these   Sheepshead this night.  Matt prefers to use a recurve and retriever reel when harvesting these striped table fare.

More Sea Creatures this way!
