Stillwater Success!

This 23 pound Pre-spawn Aqua-Pig was taken by Ed (Middle) at Lake Wallenpaupak in Pennsylvania.  As you can see the rain and harsh weather conditions do not   stop  the fish from swimming near shores at night. It also should not stop the bowfishermen is search of their elusive quarry!  Well done team!

John is a "numbers" man.  He likes to shoot fast and fill up the buckets with these small carp.  His zebco comes in handy for the quick   retrieve  which usually contains a struggling Common Carp.  Lakes also offer you the opportunity to sit in one area and "post" for fish that swim by.  That was the method being  used  here at Nockamixon State  Park in Pennsylvania.

Never pass up a Sucker that is over three pounds!  This foolish sucker was mesmerized by the blinding halogen bulbs as the boat cruised along the lake   shore.   Any species can be a trophy.  Everything is relative to the type of fish.  This is a dandy Sucker!

You don't always need a boat to harvest some beautiful fish. These were taken by Roy (on left) on the banks of a Pristine Marsh.  This style of  bowfishing   just takes more patience and pre-scouting of your "stand" area.  It  is obvious that big carp are not all out in the middle of the Lake!

More Lake photos await you!
